Obesity has become the global epidemic at the turn of the millennium, becoming a major social problem, and this complications greatly affect the health of society as a whole. The prevalence and incidence of obesity are incrising due to a sedentary lifestyle, a diet with incorrect composition and excessive calories intake.
The Czech Republic takes one of the first position in terms Europen countries of the prevalence of obesity. This article presents some important facts and possible therapeutic procedures that the author has been using in a children’s clinic for therapy obesity for more than 15 years.
