Overview
Increased prevalence of overweight and obesity in the Slovak population and associated increase in the occurrence of risk factors of cardiometabolic diseases indicates the need of concensus in the procedures for prevention, diagnostics and therapy of superfluous body mass. The outlined screening system provides dispensary care and stage-related interventions – a general practitioner for children and youth and specialized out-patients and workplaces.
The methods and organization structure pays attention to the complex character in prevention of cardiometabolic diseases designed for limitation that the endangered children and adolescents come apart and disperse. The distant aim is to reach good adherence of medical personnel and patients to recommendations and to eliminate the declaration character at all stages of control and realization of the preventive programs.
