Overview
Neonatal extradural haematoma belongs to the rare group of craniocerebral injuries. Atypical clinical signsare due to physiological and anatomical differences of the neonate. The early diagnosis is the main importantprognostic factor in the therapy of these craniocerebral injuries. Safe ultrasonography is the base of diagnosis atthis time. The authors presents the criteria’s and the possibilities of therapy based on the two own cases and reviewof literature. The neurological deterioration, midline shift or the depth haematoma more than 2 centimeters areindications for invasive treatment.
