Overview

The author describes the case of a 44-year-old woman with an erythema on her lower legs caused by a long walk-in hot summer weather. The basic laboratory examination including indicators of inflammation were within the normal range. A biopsy was not performed. A diagnosis of exercise-induced dermatitis/vasculitis was made. Treatment with local corticosteroids and venotonics led to the complete disappearance of the erythema within 10 days. The article provides an overview of the current knowledge of this dermatosis.
