The project called ”ThePromotion of Social andMedical care and Education Programsfor FemaleSex Workers in the Czech Republic according to a Flemish Model“ is a part of cooperation programmebetween the Flemish lands and the new EU member states. In the Czech Republic, the projectis registered under the name ”ESO“ (Erotic Services with Caution).The aim of the project is to motivate women providing sexual services for money to undergoscreenings for sexually transmitted infections. During the years 2004-2005 they will be offeredhepatitis B vaccination free of charge. At the same time, hepatitis B and C markers will be examined,and tests for HIV, syphilis and, in case of clinical symptoms, for other sexually transmitted pathogenswill be carried out.
