Objective:
Examined ultrasonographically detected cysts of choroid plexus.Setting: Department of obsterics and Gynaecology of 3 rd Medical Faculty, Charles University andIntitute for Care of Mother and Child, Prague, Czech Republic.Case report: Ultrasonographically detected cysts of choroid plexuses were dissected and exa-mined in three aborted mid-trimester fetuses with a normal karyotype. In all these cases in theconnectiv tissue of the wall of (pseudo)cysts there were angiomatous capillary nets. The fluidfilled cavities were not lined by any epithelium The ependymal lining was present only on theouter surface of the (pseudo)cysts. The choroid plexuses (pseudo)cysts represent a temporarilydevelopmental anomaly affecting vessels of choroid plexuses.
