Overview
The influence of the Streptococcus mutans (SM) level in oral cavity on the caries rate in children was investigated within the framework of the grant provided by Medical Faculty, Palacký University in Olomouc SPP: 91110291. A total of 75 patients at the age of 12 - 14 years were examined. The relations of the indices PLI, CPITN, KPE and SM in oral cavity were evaluated.
Key words:
Streptococcus mutans – caries prevention – children at the age of 12 - 14 years – cories incidence of permanent teeth
