Overview

Paranoid syndrome can be autonomous or it can combine with other (primary, axial) syndromes: endomorphic, organic or syndromes of conciousness disorders. The first aim of the SCPS scale was to demonstrate the intesity degree of paranoid syndrome expression which depends on the primary (axial) syndromes. The SCPS scale consists of 7 items (logical organization, systemization, stability, conviction, influence on the action, extension, insertion), scored from 1 to 5. Results of the statistical analysis confirm a good psychometric characteristics of the scale, Cronbach coefficient alfa = 0.8327. The scale may contribute to better diagnostics of paranoid states.

Key words:
delusional syndromes, dimensions of delusional structure, clear paranoid syndrome, Scale for Clear Paranoid Syndrome (SCPS).
