Overview
Scanning electron microscopy was used to evaluate the differences in the qualityof the cut produced by oscilating microkeratome Flapmaker and Draeger rotatingmicrokeratome. Higher quality of the edge of the cut was found with Flapmaker. Both microkeratomes produce uniform surface of the cut. Chatter is much lessexpressed with Flapmaker. No difference at the interface tissue was found withSEM three weeks postoperatively comparing the microkeratomes.
