Overview

In our case report we present a case of parathyroid carcinoma in a kidney transplant recipient, which manifested as nephrocalcinosis of the kidney graft, diagnostic and treatment process of the patient. Even though hyperparathyroidism is very frequently encountered in patients with advanced kidney disease including kidney transplant recipients, a case of parathyroid carcinoma is extremely rare. In the commentary, diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities are discussed.
