Overview
Review on the recent state in measurement of blood glucose by glucometers. Summarization of requirements on the precision and bias of results. Describing of the new quality standard ISO 15197:3013. Introduction of some results in glucometers testing in some countries and publications. Main emphasis is given to self-monitoring of patients more briefly is introduced glucometers using in the ambulances, in the intensive care in hospitals and continual glucose monitoring. The aim of publication is to help in improvement quality diabetes care and economy of use for the management of diabetes and intensive care.
