Overview
INTRODUCTION:
The article discusses the basic ballistic and medical aspects of treating gunshot wounds and shrapnel injuries in peacetime and wartime conditions. This is an issue in our country infrequent therefore a greater emphasis should be put on knowledge about it.
AIM OF THE STUDY:
The article aims to acquaint surgeons with basic problems of ballistic trauma and their treatment in isolated cases as well as for mass occurrence of those injuries.
METODS:
The author is based upon recommendations from literary sources and from their own experience of war surgeon.
CONCLUSION:
Article processing is used for surgeons, traumatologists as brief information on the issue. Especially if these traumas are to solve or plan a mission to risk areas.
