The authors present a review of contemporary legislation concerning transfusion medicine. Thepresent legislation is unbalanced as regards the general system of quality insurance in haemotherapydue to unilateral orientation on manufacturers. Prescriptions pertaining to application are indequate.The German model is presented as an interesting example.
