Overview

Aim of the study was to give a review of the latest opinions on the relationship between breech vaginal delivery of the male foetus and testicular injury, to compare them with our present practice. We compared results of the work of the different authors with our observations. None of them gives clear conclusion and further observations are needed. Definitive answer could be given by the prospective study in which we would assess testicular development and reproductive ability of the males with breech presentation delivered vaginally.

Key words:
sectio caesarea – breech vaginal delivery – male foetus – testicular injury – testicular development – reproductive ability of the males
