Overview

Gastric carcinoid is a rare GIT endocrine tumor. The disorder is mostly asymptomatic, Clinically, it may present with pains, bleeding or obstruction. Onset of a carcinoid syndrom is a serious complication. The diagnosis of the disease is based on endoscopy and the tumor biopsy. Its therapy includes endoscopic or surgical resection. The resection type depends on the tumor size and its histological type.
