Overview

Chronic defects are basically wounds which heal secondarily (per secondam), which mostly develop form advanced tissue destruction as a consequence of vascular diseases of various origin, which as diabetes mellitus, ischemic disease of lower extremities, radiation-cause damage or tumors.

Hyperbaric oxygenotherapy represents one possibility to treat such defects.
