Problems most frequently solved by revision physicians in relation to prescription of medical devices for physically disabled individuals

The problem of evaluating medical devices for physically disabled individuals from the standpoint of revision physician is often complicated by insufficient specification and substantiation of the demand. Insufficient information of the physicians about medical devices may participate in this kind of imperfection. The paper characterizes individual types of medical devices for physically disabled individuals and outlines most frequent common fallacies and shortcomings in requirement for compensation or reimbursement of these medical devices. The following concepts are outlined: minimal time of utility, recondition ability of medical devices, and loan contract. The meaning and advantages of the revision technician functions as a member of the assessment and controlling team is explained.
