Objective:
To summarize the fi ndings about the infl uence of some xenobiotics on human reproduction,especially infertility.Type of study: Review article.Setting: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1st Medical Faculty, Charles Universityand the General Faculty Hospital, PragueMethods: Analysis of literature.Results: A review about the infl uence of some xenobiotics on human reproduction was given.In some there is a possible negative infl uence on the results of in vitro fertilisation program. Itis a question of hormone disruptors, some haevy metals, some organic solvents, pesticides andsmoking of cigarettes.Conclusion: In most of these xenobiotics there is direct evidence of their negative infl uence onreproduction and the results of in vitro fertilisation program. Therefore it is worth to continuein this evaluation.
