Overview

The atuhors present results of a prospective clinical study on efficacy of topicalnon-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Naclof, CibaVision) in postoperative tre-atment. Fifty patients (50 eyes) after cataract extraction (phacoemulsificationwith intraocular lens implantation) were involved in this study. All patientunderwent a thorough evaluation 1 week, 1 month and 4 months after operation.We have not seen any serious ocular complications.Results of this study indicate that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can beconsidered as a good alternative drug to steroids in patients after cataract opera-tion.
